the best in the world,” “We think this prize will just add to the tremendous reputation, that our club and the City of Mobile already have within the fishing community.”

$1,000,000 is a very rare prize in any fishing tournament according to MBGFC Former President Steve Levi. “I have fished for Blue Marlin all over the world and have never been in a tournament where such a huge dollar amount was offered. What makes the prize most special, is anyone who enters the tournament is eligible to win!”

Any registered angler in the tournament can win the prize. The entry fee to participate in the MBGFC Memorial Day Tour is $250 per angler. There is a minimum of 4 anglers per boat for boats over 32 feet and 3 anglers per boat for boats 32 feet and under. If the entry form is received in the mailbox by Monday, May 19th, the cost is $200 per angler.

“The MBGFC has a tremendous history, and the record amount of money being offered for the Memorial Day and Labor Day Tournaments continues to show why so many people enjoy fishing these local tournaments.

Please be aware: According the the MBGFC tournament rules, video confirmation is required even for caught Blue Marlin. This is to assure that the fish is indeed caught in our tournament.
We must see the actual fighting of the fish, the angler fighting the fish, the tackle being used to catch the fish and the tournament designator.
Also, a mandatory polygraph exam will be given to all winners.
